Turkmenistan’s Gündogar akymy economic society has processed 150 tons of sunflower seeds since the beginning of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Turkmen Rysgal newspaper.
According to the information, 60 tons of oil and 90 tons of oil cake have been obtained from the processed sunflower seeds.
It was noted that Gündogar akymy, the company for the production of vegetable oil and flour, is located in the capital Bagtyyarlyk district and is equipped with modern equipment from China. The capacity of the company is designed to process 18,000 tons of seeds and produce 7,200 tons of vegetable oil per year, as well as to produce 60 tons of flour per day.
In addition, it is reported that Gündogar akymy produces coffee from beans imported from Brazil.
Moreover, in 2020, the company allocated 6,000 hectares of land in the Sarakh district of the Akhal region for the cultivation of crops. Thus, Gündogar akymy intends to plant sunflower seeds in 900 hectares, soybeans, rapeseed and sesame in 850 hectares each and wheat in 2,550 hectares of land.
It is also reported that the company plans to launch mayonnaise production in the near future.
