Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan sign number of bilateral co-op documents

Presidents of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan after a meeting in a narrow format in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) held talks with the participation of members of official delegations, following which a number of documents were signed, Trend reports citing Business Turkmenistan.

According to the information, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the special significance of his first state visit to Turkmenistan.

Tokayev also expressed support for the proposal of the Turkmen colleague of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to hold the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan in 2022.

In addition, the president of Kazakhstan noted that the country is ready to increase the supply of a range of products in 60 commodity items for a total amount of more than $130 million to Turkmenistan.

"I am sure that this task is quite possible to be achieved. In particular, it is promising to increase the supply of our agricultural products, especially flour and wheat, on mutually beneficial terms at market prices. Earlier, Kazakhstan, by agreement with the Turkmen side, began exporting wheat at an acceptable price," Tokayev stressed.

The president of Kazakhstan noted that all the issues that were discussed during the meeting are clear examples of the special nature of Kazakh-Turkmen relations.
