BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. Turkmenistan's transport departments plan to increase their respective air and sea fleets in the near future, Trend reports citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
This was announced by the Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammethan Chakiyev to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting.
According to him, the "Turkmenhowayollary" (Turkmen Airlines) and "Turkmendenizderyayollary" (Turkmen State Service of Sea and River Transport) agencies are planning the purchase new airliners and build new sea vessels.
After hearing the report, President Berdimuhamedov stressed that the transport system receives large state investments, therefore, it is necessary to increase the production capacities of subordinate enterprises, thereby create new jobs.
The Head of State gave the Director of the agency specific instructions in this direction.
