BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. A large gas chemical complex located in the village of Kiyanly in the Balkan region in the west of Turkmenistan has published production figures from January through July 2022, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
During the specified period, 56,900 tons of polyethylene and 12,200 tons of polypropylene were produced at the complex.
The enterprise is designed to process 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas, as well as to produce 386,000 tons of high-density polyethylene and 81,000 tons of polypropylene.
Polymer products of the gas chemical complex are exported to countries such as Russia, the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, China, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
Due to the increasing dynamics of the construction of industrial and social facilities in Turkmenistan, industry is becoming one of the major sectors of the economy.
