BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. Turkmenistan has published data on the volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 3.9 million cargoes have been transported through the Turkmenbashi seaport.
During the year, the port can handle up to 300,000 passengers, and 75,000 trucks, as well as load and unload 400,000 containers.
Furthermore, at the berths of the port with a total length of more than 1,800 meters, it is possible to simultaneously serve 17 vessels, and the container point is capable of simultaneously receiving cargo from 12 vessels.
More than 11.3 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in 2021, 6.5 million of which are exports.
