BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to continue systematic work on the development of cooperation with the countries of the Persian Gulf, Trend reports citing Turkmenportal.

The head of state said this during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

According to him, Turkmenistan is aimed at further effective cooperation with the states of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East as a whole. There is a solid potential and broad prospects for this in such topical areas as economy, trade, investment, energy, transport, communications, logistics, industry, infrastructure and culture, and humanitarian spheres.

Confirming Turkmenistan's readiness to develop mutually beneficial partnerships both in bilateral and multilateral formats, through international and interregional structures, including within the framework of the dialogue "Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council", President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov to continue systematic work in this direction.
