BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. The growth rate of Turkmenistan's GDP according to the results of the completed works for 2022 remained at the level of 6.2 percent, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on February 10.
According to him, in the industrial sector, this indicator increased by 6.3 percent, construction - by 0.3 percent, transport and communication sector - by 4.5 percent,
He noted that this indicator also increased in trade - by 8.9 percent, agriculture - by 5.7 percent and in the service sector - by 7 percent.
Recently, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the "Program of socio-economic development of the country for 2023", according to which it is planned to increase the growth rate of the country's GDP this year to 6.5 percent.
