BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. The total profit of credit institutions of Turkmenistan from January through September 2022 increased by 8.4 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan Toyly Myalikov at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on February 10.
According to him, during the reporting period, the loan portfolio of banks in various segments of the economy increased by 7.6 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
In addition, Myalikov noted that, along with this, the indicators of the loan portfolio of the private sector increased by 28.2 percent, agricultural producers – by 1.3 times, and mortgage loans – by 9.4 percent.
Meanwhile, the government meeting summed up the results of work in the economic sphere for 2022, identified priority tasks of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for this year and considered a number of other issues.
