Turkmenistan reveals indicators of agro-industrial sector for 2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. The production of the agro-industrial complex of Turkmenistan last year as a whole increased by 4.8 percent compared to 2021, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Annageldi Yazmyradow at an expanded meeting of the government held on February 10.

According to him, during the reporting period, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan increased production by 4.9 percent, the State Committee of Water Management – by 3.9 percent, and the Turkmen Atlary State Association – by 4.7 percent.

Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman noted that the plan for the development of investments in agriculture has been exceeded by 22.2 percent.

Agriculture in Turkmenistan is one of the most important branches of the economy.

Efficient operation of agricultural machinery, providing it with the necessary spare parts and other means contribute to the qualitative implementation of agrotechnical measures related to the care of crops.
