BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Businessmen from Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas during trading on February 7 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased 5,000 tons of liquefied gas on the exchange at a price of $545 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was $2.7 million.

At the same time, according to the exchange, on February 1, 2023, entrepreneurs from Türkiye purchased 1,000 tons of cotton yarn for a total of $2,7 million.

Meanwhile, in Turkmenistan as a whole, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was exceeded by 12.7 percent in 2022, and the plan for the production of liquefied gas - by 5.1 percent.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
