BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 7. Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas from Turkmen production during trading on February 28 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Businessmen from Afghanistan purchased 3,000 tons of liquefied gas on the exchange at a price of $496 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was $1.4 million.
The liquefied gas sent for export was produced at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
Meanwhile, in Turkmenistan as a whole, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was exceeded by 12.7 percent in 2022, and the plan for the production of liquefied gas - by 5.1 percent.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
