BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. The US Agency for International Development (USAID) in partnership with the Rysgal Joint-Stock Commercial Bank of Turkmenistan held a conference, where steps to create the first venture capital fund in the country was discussed, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
The forum was attended by investors from the private sector, representatives of financial institutions, IT companies, higher education institutions, state regulatory authorities, founders of international venture capital funds and experts from Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Singapore.
The forum program included presentations by leading companies and organizations of the innovation and venture capital industry, such as Vitosha Ventures, Turkmenaragatnashyk agency, MOST Ventures and Quest Ventures.
The forum participants had a good opportunity to expand their understanding of investment strategies and advantages of venture capital funds, as well as various aspects of investment activity.
USAID was established by the US Government in 1961 to provide economic and social assistance to foreign countries. Currently, USAID operates in more than 100 countries around the world.
