BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 1. Turkish Bursalı textile company will open its first enterprise in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the company.
According to the information, Bursalı aims to develop a new production facility on an area of 100,000 square meters in Turkmenistan.
The enterprise will have workshops for the production and dyeing of yarn and the production of towels, and at the second stage, sewing production will also be launched, while about 1,000 jobs will be created.
Furthermore, $22.5 million was invested in equipping the new enterprise, and 200 trucks with production equipment were sent.
The company's enterprise in Turkmenistan plans to produce 12,000 tons of yarn, and 10,000 tons of towels and garments annually.
Meanwhile, President of the Supreme Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking on March 16 at the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, said that with the participation of businessmen from Türkiye, projects worth more than $110.3 billion had been implemented in Turkmenistan since 2000.
