BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. At the moment, there are about 270 online trading platforms in Turkmenistan, which demonstrates the growing role of e-commerce in the country, and concrete effective steps are being taken at the state level for its development, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was stated by the Chairman of the "Turkmenaragatnashyk" agency (Turkmen Communication) Hajimurat Hudaygulyev, speaking at the international conference and exhibition on "International transport and transit corridors: interconnection and development" (ITC 2023) on May 4, 2023.
According to him, the development of e-commerce is impossible without well-established logistics and delivery services, and the choice of the company through which the consumer will place an order ultimately depends on the convenience and speed of these services.
As an example, he brought up a platform created by the "Turkmenpost" postal communication company — the "Postshop" marketplace.
"This marketplace offers entrepreneurs and legal entities to start selling their goods and services in just a few steps by filling in the necessary data on the website or through a special mobile application "Postshop satyjy". It allows not only to accept orders, but also to keep the necessary records and statistics on the sale of goods and services," Hudaygulyev said.
The head of the agency added that "Turkmenaragatnashyk" agency is open to mutually beneficial cooperation and exchange of experience in the designated areas for the further development of online commerce in Turkmenistan.
