BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. Turkmenabat Cotton Spinning factory located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan exceeded the production plan by 17 percent from January through March this year, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, during the reporting period, the enterprise produced almost 2,140 tons of cotton yarn.
In value terms, in the first 3 months of this year, the Turkmenabat factory manufactured products worth about 41.59 million Turkmen manats ($11.87 million).
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
Major investments will be directed not only to expanding existing capacities but also to creating more than 10 new production facilities based on current enterprises.
In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
