ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 11. The State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan held trades in foreign currency last week, the total amount of which amounted to approximately $42.3 million, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, petroleum road bitumen, diesel fuel, base oil and kerosene produced by Turkmennebit State Concern were purchased by entrepreneurs from the UAE, Türkiye, Afghanistan, etc.
Furthermore, entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan, UAE, Türkiye, China, Kyrgyzstan and other countries purchased sets of bed linen, cotton yarn and fabric, denim products, cotton fiber, smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products for foreign currency.
Turkmen businessmen purchased polypropylene for the domestic market for a total amount of 6.3 million Turkmen manats ($1.8 million).
During the previous reporting period, the amount of currency transactions on exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $3.6 million.
A total of 41 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
