ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 20. Businessmen from Türkiye bought cotton yarn on the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
Entrepreneurs from Türkiye purchased 468.5 tons of cotton yarn on the exchange. The total amount of transactions amounted to $983,900.
This cotton yarn was produced at the enterprise of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
Concurrently, according to the exchange, businessmen from Kyrgyzstan purchased 220,000 square meters of flannel fabric for a total of $59,400.
The production of cotton yarn is an important element of the country's economy and provides many jobs for the local population. Turkmen textile enterprises cooperate with various countries and companies, exporting their products to the world market.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
