ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 3. The Turkmenabat garment factory, located in the Lebap district in the east of Turkmenistan, produced products worth more than 25 million Turkmen manats ($7.15 million) from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
According to official data, during the reporting period, the company produced more than 20.6 percent, or 4.2 million Turkmen manats ($1.2 million), more than the planned volume.
In general, over the past year, the garment factory produced products worth more than 52.2 million Turkmen manats ($14.9 million), exceeding the plan by 47.2 percent or 16.7 million Turkmen manats ($4.7 million).
The main part of the factory's products are uniforms for the military as well as clothing for children and adults.
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
