ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 22. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held auctions last week, at which it concluded contracts with foreign entrepreneurs for the export of oil and textile products totaling $48.4 million, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, entrepreneurs from Türkiye, UAE, Afghanistan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan purchased gasoline manufactured at the enterprises of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, as well as aviation kerosene and polypropylene produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern, for foreign currency.
Furthermore, bedding sets, smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products, cotton fabric and yarn, denim fabric, as well as licorice roots, were sold on the exchange. Buyer countries: Azerbaijan, Türkiye, China, the UAE, Ireland, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
Turkmenistan's businessmen purchased fittings for the domestic market for a total of 400,000 Turkmen manats ($114,170).
A total of 40 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
During the previous reporting period, the amount of currency transactions on exchange in Turkmenistan exceeded $40.7 million.
