ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 11. The growth rate of production by industrial facilities of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan from January through August 2023 reached 3 percent, Trend reports.
This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Batyr Atdaev, at a government meeting held on September 8, 2023.
According to him, over the specified period, the growth rate of trade turnover for this ministry amounted to 6 percent year-on-year.
Furthermore, Atdaev noted that in the first eight months of this year, according to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the growth rate of agricultural and food production reached 8.5 percent, and industrial production - 7.1 percent year-on-year.
He also added that the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held 199 trades during the specified period, at which 20,114 contracts were registered, the growth rate for works carried out by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry amounted to 11.7 percent.
Meanwhile, the meeting summed up the results of eight months of the government's work, while it was noted that the construction of social facilities for various purposes is being successfully carried out throughout the country.
