ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 6. Turkmenistan has sold a large amount of carbamide to businessmen from foreign countries through its State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan, the UAE and Ukraine have concluded a deal to purchase carbamide for a total of $5.65 million.
The contracts for the purchase of these volumes of urea were concluded with Turkmenistan's Turkmenhimiya State Concern.
Furthermore, representatives of the business environment from Pakistan concluded a deal on the stock exchange for the purchase of raw silk in the amount of $300,000.
Meanwhile, the main producers of urea in Turkmenistan are the Garabogazkarbamid and Tejenkarbamid plants.
The Garabogazkarbamid plant is the largest in Central Asia and is designed to manufacture 1.15 million tons of fertilizer per year.
