ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 11. Turkmenistan has witnessed a surge in electricity production during the period from January through November this year, Trend reports.
This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan, Baymyrat Annamamedov, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He noted that during the specified period, the growth rate of electricity production by the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan amounted to 2.7 percent.
Furthermore, Annamamedov noted that the production plan for the work carried out and the services rendered within the framework of this ministry from January through November of this year exceeded 12.6 percent.
Meanwhile, as part of its economic diversification initiatives, Turkmenistan is actively enhancing its capacity for producing and exporting electricity to foreign markets.
The nation is effectively scaling up electricity production, not only to meet domestic needs but also to seize opportunities for active engagement in global energy markets.
