ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 15. Turkmenistan sells a large batch of cotton yarn to entrepreneurs from Türkiye, the UAE and Kyrgyzstan through its State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange, Trend reports.
According to the agreement, businessmen from the UAE agreed to purchase cotton yarn from Turkmenistan's Ministry of Textile Industry, and entrepreneurs from Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan agreed to purchase cotton yarn from a local Turkmen enterprise.
The overall value of deals involving the purchase of cotton yarn by foreign businesses exceeded $3.76 million.
Last week, the total value of transactions concluded on Turkmenistan's State Commodity Exchange exceeded $83.6 million.
Turkmenistan is actively developing its textile industry, attracting the attention of entrepreneurs from all over the world, including from Türkiye.
This strategic focus on the development of the textile sector is accompanied by the modernization of production facilities, the introduction of innovative technologies and the improvement of the quality of manufactured goods.
