ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 12. Food enterprises in Turkmenistan have experienced a notable increase in production output in 2023, Trend reports.

Dovletgeldi Amanmukhammedov, Chairman of Turkmenistan's State Statistics Committee, made this announcement during an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, enterprises producing sausage products increased production by 7.7 percent compared to 2022.

Furthermore, Amanmukhammedov noted that over the past year, the production of dairy products in Turkmenistan at enterprises increased by 1.7 percent compared to a year earlier, canned fruits and vegetables by 5.5 percent, and butter by 6.8 percent.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan pays priority to strengthening food security due to its vast natural resources and favorable environment.

Turkmenistan's government has paid special attention to the food sector in recent years, aiming to reduce the country's reliance on imports and secure a sustainable supply of food for the population.
