Turkmenistan unveils exported goods value for 2023

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 14. The volume of exports of products produced by Turkmenistan enterprises reached $11.4 billion last year, Trend reports.

This was announced by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, the country's GDP growth last year amounted to 6.3 percent, including 4.3 percent in the industrial sector, 12.8 percent in trade, and 4.4 percent in agriculture, while the volume of investments increased by 7.5 percent.

Furthermore, the president noted that 12,274 new jobs were created in the country during the reporting period.

Berdimuhamedov added that last year, 78 industrial and socio-cultural facilities were opened at the expense of all sources of financing, and over 1.89 million square meters of housing were commissioned.

"A high-voltage overhead power transmission line along the Mary-Ahal route, two gas turbine installations at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, as well as dozens of new enterprises in various fields, were put into operation," he stressed.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan has consistently observed economic expansion through focused efforts in the energy, transportation, and infrastructure sectors.

The nation is actively implementing measures to attract foreign investments, with a specific focus on diversifying the economy and improving the overall business climate.
