Turkmenistan's Serdar factory yields large volume of cotton yarn

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 16. The 'Serdar' factory of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan located in the Dashoguz region produced 1,378 tons of cotton yarn over the past year, Trend reports.

According to official data, 518 tons of furniture cotton and 340 tons of purified cotton waste were also produced at the factory during this period.

In value terms, the enterprise manufactured finished products for a total of about 33 million Turkmen manat ($9.42 million) in 2023.

Currently, the factory has three production workshops, which employ more than 180 workers and specialists.

Meanwhile, the 'Serdar' enterprise is one of the first cotton spinning mills put into operation in the industrial sector of Turkmenistan during the years of independence.

For many years, the factory has been engaged in cotton processing, manufacturing a variety of high-quality products.
