BOMCA 10 informs about all beneficiaries in Turkmenistan (Exclusive)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Turkmenistan is one of the beneficiary countries of the BOMCA (Border Management Program in Central Asia) program, an insider in the BOMCA 10 told Trend.

According to the source, the beneficiaries of the BOMCA in Turkmenistan from law enforcement agencies are Turkmenistan's State Frontier Service, the State Customs Service, the State Migration Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of National Security, and the General Prosecutor’s Office.

At the same time, it was stated that the program will benefit the State Sanitary-Epidemiological Service of Turkmenistan's Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the State Veterinary Service of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the State Service on Plant Quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The beneficiaries in the educational and social domains include Turkmenistan's Institute of State, Law, and Democracy, the Women's Union, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy, and the Makhtumkuli Youth Group.

Meanwhile, the BOMCA 10 project is implemented by a consortium of the border management agencies of the selected member states of the EU and the International Center for Migration Police Development, led by the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia.

The overall objective of BOMCA 10 is to enhance security, stability, and sustainable growth in the region, as well as support cross-border cooperation and improve living conditions for people living in border areas of Central Asia.
