ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 22. The textile factory, located in the city of Bereket in the Balkan region in the west of Turkmenistan, increased the manufacturing of clothing products by almost four times in January this year, Trend reports.
According to an official source, during the specified period, the enterprise manufactured more than 29,500 pieces of clothing of various types, which is almost four times more than in the same month last year, when more than 7,500 pieces of clothing were produced.
In value terms, in the first month of this year, the factory manufactured garments worth more than 1 million Turkmen manat ($286,240).
The enterprise, founded in 2011 by Turkmenistan's Textile Industry Ministry, is outfitted with cutting-edge technology from leading companies in Türkiye, Japan, and Germany.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan planned to invest more than $300 million in the textile industry by 2025 to implement more than 30 projects.
The main directions of these investments are the development of existing capacities and the creation of more than ten new production facilities based on existing enterprises.
