ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 28. The Ministry of Finance and Economy in Turkmenistan has announced plans to initiate a competitive bidding process for the privatization of 42 state-owned assets, Trend reports.

The auction will be held on March 15 via a digital auction platform for state property, according to an official source.

Service sector facilities such as stores, cafes, canteens, a wellness center, administrative buildings, a carpet factory, and manufacturing facilities will be auctioned off.

Among the largest objects to be auctioned are a brick workshop, the Dowrebap shopping and leisure complex (8,800 square meters) and a two-story building located in the Lebap region, a pipe manufacturing facility (6,400 square meters) located in the Dashoguz region and the administrative premises of the 'Nur Zaman' enterprise in Ashgabat city (4,300 square meters).

The online auction for these assets will take place through the digital platform dedicated to state property auctions, including its associated mobile application.

Meanwhile, on February 9, 2024, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan also initiated the sale of 47 state-owned assets.
