ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 5. Turkmenistan held auctions on its State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange last week, where it auctioned raw materials worth over $15.3 million, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, this is roughly 10.8 percent higher
than the previous reporting period, when the cost of raw materials
sold was $13.8 million.
Business representatives from Türkiye, the UAE, Afghanistan, and
Uzbekistan paid foreign money for liquefied natural gas (LNG) and
polypropylene produced by Turkmenistan's Turkmennebit State Concern
firms.
Furthermore, local Turkmen entrepreneurs spent around 9.03 million
Turkmen manat ($2.58 million) on polypropylene, kerosene, and
petroleum bitumen produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern, as
well as glass containers and handmade carpets for the domestic
market.
Last week's State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange auctions
resulted in 23 deals.
