ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 5. Turkmenistan has revealed the priority vectors of cooperation with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Trend reports.
The main vectors of the country's interaction were outlined by Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the meeting of heads of delegations in the SCO+ format in Astana.
According to him, among the important areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the SCO are trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture, the "green" agenda, and information technology.
Along with these promising vectors, he identified models of cross-border and regional business partnerships involving small and medium-sized businesses.
Furthermore, Berdimuhamedov expressed a desire to expand and intensify humanitarian, scientific, and educational ties, with an emphasis on the relevance of cooperation in the youth sphere.
To note, a meeting of the SCO Council was held on July 4, at which the leaders of the member states discussed important issues of multilateral and multi-vector cooperation in the organization's format, as well as issues of regional and international policy.
