ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 26. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myakhri Byashimova has met with Sok Chea, the newly appointed ambassador of Cambodia to Turkmenistan, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ashgabat, Trend reports via the Turkmen ministry.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the potential for strengthening political and diplomatic relations, highlighting the positive experience of collaboration in international and regional forums, particularly through the UN. They also considered the possibility of establishing closer ties between the parliaments of Turkmenistan and Cambodia.
The conversation further delved into opportunities for expanding trade and economic cooperation, with an emphasis on organizing joint business forums and exhibitions to foster commercial partnerships. The diplomats expressed a shared interest in enhancing cultural and humanitarian connections, discussing potential exchanges in the fields of science, education, culture, and tourism.
As part of the formalities, Ambassador Sok Chea presented copies of his credentials and received warm congratulations from the Turkmen side on his new appointment.
