The domestic fuel production plant at the Naip gas processing complex has reached the projected capacity of 112,500 tons of liquefied gas a year thanks to upgrading the technology of natural gas cooling. The fifth gas compressor unit was also commissioned at the Naip complex this year. As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports, gas processing complex workers are ready to increase the production of domestic fuel to 130,000 tons a year by the 15th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence marked on October 27.

It should be recalled that the industrial-scale plant installed by Italian Technofriga company at the Naip complex was commissioned on June 17, 1998. According to Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov who attended the inauguration ceremony, it signaled the start of establishment of a powerful industrial complex in Zaunguz Karakums. In the following years, two more technological gas processing units were built there by Turkmen and Canadian constructors, specialists of Thermodesign Engineering Ltd Company. Each unit equals the entire plant in size, reports Trend.

Today, the Naip complex is one of the largest producers of liquefied gas in Central Asia. The Zaunguz industrial center, fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, has produced over 420 thousand tons of liquefied gas and thousands of tons of gas condensate in eight years. The quality of production meets international standards. Gas is exported to Great Britain, Iran, Germany and other states.

In the coming years, new gas processing complexes will be erected in Lebap province. The construction of one of such complexes at the Bagajin gas condensate field has been completed. Another one is being built at Yashyldepe gas condensate field on the right bank of Amudarya River. Putting into operation these super giants will make Turkmenistan the largest producer and supplier of liquefied gas to the world market.
