(Turkmenistan.ru) - Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov signed a resolution authorizing the state corporation Turkmengeologiya to make a contract with Chinese Petroleum Corporation for Engineering and Development on the supply of 3 drilling rigs, type ZJ50LDB, and field houses at a total cost of Yuan 200 million, reports Trend.
As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports referring to the state news agency (TDH), the resolution aims at increasing the efficiency of geological organizations in deep drilling in accordance with a framework agreement between the governments of the two countries on the issuance by China of a soft loan to Turkmenistan. The agreement was reached during the Turkmen president's visit to China in April this year.
