UNICEF sends another batch of humanitarian aid to refugees from Kyrgyzstan

In accordance with the assessment of the needs of children and women in refugee camps in Uzbekistan’s Andijan region, UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) has sent another batch of humanitarian aid to women and children in camps for refugees from Kyrgyzstan, UNICEF office in Tashkent told Trend.

In accordance with the assessment of the needs of children and women in refugee camps in Uzbekistan's Andijan region, UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) has sent another batch of humanitarian aid to women and children in camps for refugees from Kyrgyzstan, UNICEF office in Tashkent told Trend.  

UNICEF's humanitarian aid in the amount of 119.9 million sums - personal hygiene items, diapers, baby clothes was sent to Andijan June 20.

This week, the organization will send necessary medicines and medical supplies, water purification tablets, hygiene kits, clothing and footwear for children in the amount of 1.9 billion sums to refugee camps.

Earlier it was reported June 14, within quick response to the emergency situation, UNICEF sent humanitarian aid worth $67,000 from Tashkent to Fergana Valley.

It included tents, emergency medical kits, blankets, water containers and purifiers for water, clothing, kits for children with toys and other learning objects and hygiene items.
