President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on conferring the "Hero of Uzbekistan" title

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed on Tuesday a decree on conferring the highest state distinctions - the title of "Uzbekistan Kahramoni" (Hero of Uzbekistan) and the medal "Oltin Yulduz" (Golden Star).

Highest national awards was given to Sarsenbai Seytnazarov, head of the farm "Tayymbet" in the Takhtakupyr region of Karakalpakstan, Alexander Farmanov, chairman and CEO of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine and Hasanboy Kosimov, chief technologist of production technology, GM Uzbekistan.
According to the decree, the highest ranks awarded for outstanding service to the state and the people in strengthening the country's independence, strengthening its international authority, and many years of dedicated work in the industrial sector, as well as a great contribution to the upbringing of young generation in the spirit of patriotism and devotion to his people.
On the same day the President signed a decree awarding state awards of Uzbekistan.
The winners of state award this year were 14 representatives of science and technology, literature, art and architecture.
