Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed a decree to institute memorable badges "The 20th anniversary of the Uzbek Armed Forces", the official press reported today.
The document was adopted to mark the 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces and encourage military personnel, who contributed to the country's defense capabilities and formation of the Armed Forces.
The memorable badges will be awarded to persons, who contributed to strengthening of defense power and formation of Armed Forces, military personnel, who participated in military operations to defend territorial integrity of Uzbekistan, including militaries, who were killed or wounded and maimed while performing the duty, etc.
