Tashkent City Criminal Court at the meeting on Monday decided to transfer all "Uzdunrobita" assets - a wholly owned subsidiary of "Mobile TeleSystems" (MTS) to the state budget, a source in the government circles reported.
In addition, each of the four "Uzdunrobita" executives sentenced to three years probation with the withdrawal of the state income property acquired by criminal means.
As reported, the Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan accused leading managers "Uzdunrobita" in the withdrawal of funds from the company through the purchase of equipment at inflated prices, and also in "organizing a criminal group in order to reap profits uncontrolled."
Uzbek Prosecutor General's Office authorized the seizure of the original documents and inventory, conducted mass arrests and questioning employees.
In August, Economic Court of Tashkent on the proposal of the Agency for Communication and Information decided to terminate all "Uzdunrobita" telecommunications licenses. In early September, the authorities carried out the arrest of the operator's property.
