Ake Peterson, who was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to Uzbekistan with residence in Stockholm, presented copies of his credentials addressed to the president to the country's Foreign Ministry, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
'During the exchange of views on the Uzbek-Swedish agenda, priority was given to promising directions of deepening relations both in a bilateral plan and in the format of the Uzbekistan -European Union', the report says.
The parties stressed that making political consultations on the regular and systematic development of inter-parliamentary relations, enhancing the legal framework and institutionalising cooperation, the establishment of direct contacts between the business circles of Uzbekistan and Sweden meet the interests of both sides allowing them to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
The parties also discussed urgent international and regional issues.
