A delegation from Uzbekistan headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov will attend the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Minsk, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.

Earlier, the CIS Executive Committee said the agenda of the Ministerial Council meeting scheduled for October 24 will include issues relating to the key areas of cooperation within the CIS.

In particular, the foreign ministers are to agree on draft decisions of the Council of Heads of States in declaring 2015 as the Year of Veterans, on common jubilee awards, as well as an action plan for the preparation and celebration of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Ministers will discuss the implementation in the coming year of the interstate programme on the 'Cultural Capital of the Commonwealth', projects on development strategy of cooperation in the field of tourism up till 2020 and the action plan for 2014-2015 under the strategy of international youth cooperation.

In addition, it is planned to review the drafts of agreement on the formation of the Interstate Council for Anti-Corruption and medium-term programmes of joint measures to combat crime, terrorism and human and drug trafficking.

The CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting will be held on the eve of the CIS summit which will take place in Minsk on October 25.
