Russia's ambassadors in Central Asia and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan will discuss the regional situation at a meeting in Tashkent today, a representative from government circles told Trend today.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider the regional situation. Moreover, the current work of Russia's diplomatic missions in the region will be also discussed.

The meeting will be chaired by Russian State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin.

Heads of Russia's diplomatic missions in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, senior officials of the central office of the Russian Foreign Ministry will attend the meeting.
