GM Uzbekistan JV (formerly UzDaewooAuto JSC) produced some 245,700 cars in 2014, according to a message from the joint-stock company Uzavtosanoat, uniting the automotive industry of Uzbekistan.
In 2013, the car plant produced 246,031 cars. So, last year the production of cars at the GM Uzbekistan fell by 0.13 percent.
Uzavtosanoat, however, didn't present any data on the production of individual car brands.
According to Uzavtosanoat, over 55,000 cars were shipped for export.
In 2013, Uzbekistan exported 90,200 cars. Some 60,829 of them were sold in the Russian market, the plant's main export market.
In 2014, the enterprises in this industry manufactured in Uzbekistan some 3,800 ISUZU buses and trucks, 1,200 MAN trucks, and 133,700 power units.
Uzavtosanoat was founded in 2004. The company includes over 20 enterprises, as well as 16 joint ventures. The state owns 100 percent of shares in the authorized capital of the company.
