Danish ambassador starts activity in Uzbekistan

The newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Denmark with a residence in Moscow Thomas Winkler delivered the credentials to Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Uzbek foreign ministry said.
The credentials were addressed to Uzbek President Islam Karimov.
The sides discussed the prospects of intensifying the Uzbek-Danish relations in various fields, some international and some regional problems during the meeting.
The importance of maintaining and developing a regular interstate dialogue, including political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other issues was stressed as well.
The sides also said the expansion of the legal framework of cooperation between the two countries is relevant.
