The defense ministries of Uzbekistan and South Korea signed a memorandum of understanding on Apr.21 on promoting bilateral partnerships, South Korean Yonhap agency reported.
The document was signed by South Korean Defense Minister Han Min-koo and his Uzbek counterpart, Kabul Berdiev who arrived in Seoul Apr.20 for a five-day visit.
The MoU aims to promote the exchange of experience in the sphere of training of servicemen, military education and to share military-related know-how, according to the agency.
During the talks, the ministers also discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including the regional security situation, said the report.
During the visit, Berdiev plans to hold meetings with the representatives of the defense complex for developing the cooperation between the two countries.
