Trade turnover of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX) increased by 37 percent to 12.06 trillion soums in 2016 as compared to 8.8 trillion soums in 2015, an UZEX official told Trend.
Meanwhile, goods worth 9.46 trillion soums were sold at exchange trades in 2016, that is, 38 percent more than in 2015.
Public procurements through the UZEX trades rose by 19.9 percent to hit 596.1 billion soums.
Corporate procurements increased by 29.3 percent to 444.8 billion soums.
Total trade turnover of UZEX decreased by 1.1 percent to 8.8 trillion soums in 2015.
The Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange was created in April 1994.
