Trend:

Ukraine’s Farmak company intends to finance construction of a pharmaceutical plant in Uzbekistan, the press service of the company said in a statement Sept. 5.

The value of Ukrainian investments will be $10 million, according to the statement.

On Sept. 4, chairman of the supervisory board of the Farmak company and Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Ukraine Alisher Abdualiyev agreed on the construction of the new plant.

“The new production will expand the range of drugs that are produced in Uzbekistan, reduce dependence on imported production and create a basis for further expansion of the pharmaceutical cluster,” Abdualiyev said.

The Farmak company has been operating in the Uzbek market for 15 years and is engaged in the sale of over 120 medicines in Uzbekistan.
