A mild earthquake hit the area on the territory of Uzbekistan bordering with Tajikistan on Sept. 23 evening, Podrobno.uz reported.
"At 22:02 on September 23 (GMT + 5), an earthquake has occurred in the border area between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The coordinates are as follows: 39.68 degrees north latitude, 68.46 degrees east longitude. The magnitude of the earthquake amounted to 3.7. The depth of the earthquake source was 5 km., National Centre of Seismic-Prognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergencies of Uzbekistan said in a statement.
No information on victims and destruction has been received.
