Uzbekistan has announced a tender to attract private investors for the construction of solar photovoltaic stations, with the assistance of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Trend reports via Uzbek media.
Uzbekenergo JSC published a request for pre-qualification selection (RFQ) for the construction of a 100 MW solar photovoltaic station in Uzbek Navoi region on February 1, 2019.
The construction site is located approximately 30 km west of the city of Navoi. Area of the construction site varies from 250 to 300 hectares while its boundaries are still subject to final approval.
The construction site has an access road in good condition and it is located next to the 220 kV network of Uzbekenergo JSC.
Completion of the investor's choice for the project is expected in the first half of 2019, Uzbekenergo JSC notes.
