Uzbekistan, Egypt in talks over joint furniture production

Egypt announced its intention to launch furniture production in Uzbekistan to sell finished products to neighboring countries, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo information agency.

As part of the implementation of the program to expand Uzbek-Egyptian cooperation in trade, economic, and investment spheres, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Usmanov visited the industrial workshops of El-Gallad Group Furniture Company in Alf Masna (Thousand factories) industrial zone in the province of Cairo, Egypt.

On behalf of the Association of Arab Businessmen the general director of the company Muhammad al-Galad expressed gratitude for the policy pursued by the leadership of Uzbekistan aimed at supporting and expanding medium and small businesses, private entrepreneurship, especially the conditions and opportunities created for foreign businessmen and investors.

Taking into account the geographical convenient location of Uzbekistan in the Central Asian region, the benefits and preferences provided to foreign investors and exporters, al-Galad announced his intention to launch furniture production in Uzbekistan to sell finished products to neighboring countries.

The project under development is planned to become the second successful history of Uzbek-Egyptian cooperation in furniture production after the creation of the Uzbek-Egyptian Autoway joint venture for the production of furniture in Uzbekistan’s Kashkadarya region.

An agreement was reached to organize a visit to Uzbekistan in November of this year by representatives of the El-Gallad Group, as well as construction and trading companies included in the Association of Arab Businessmen to participate in negotiations in the B2B format in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also by entrepreneurs in Namangan, Kashkadarya, Samarkand and Tashkent regions in Uzbekistan.
