The largest share of innovations introduced by type of economic activity in Uzbekistan for 2019 fell on manufacturing industry, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to statistics, the share of enterprises and organizations that have introduced innovations in the manufacturing industry in Uzbekistan for the reported period amounted to 51.9 percent.
The manufacturing industry is followed by construction. The share of innovations introduced in this sector amounted to 6.5 percent.
Almost two times fewer innovations were introduced in agriculture, forestry and fisheries and in information and communication sectors, 2.7 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively.
The share of innovations introduced in education sector for the reported period amounted to 1.1 percent. Some 35.4 percent of innovations were introduced in others economy sectors of Uzbekistan.
